We are the new 2018/19 school council representatives. We will keep you updated with our discussions.
Mrs Helsby and the children on the school council will be updating you of any discussions and changes they have made in our school council blog.
Review of 2017/18
The school council reps have been busy this year. We have ordered some new instruments and our music trolley is looking great. The reps have been helpful giving their ideas about different subjects for co-ordinators, to help them with their subjects. They have worked on reviewing the child friendly bullying policy. The reps have been involved in interviews and giving their thoughts on the new salad bar, which has been introduced in the dinner hall this year. Well done school council reps for your hard work this year. We will appoint new school council representatives in September.
Term 1 & 2 Update
We have discussed in school council, improvements which they think could be made in school. From these discussions, hand soap has been put into the toilets, small nets have been purchased for the playground and Miss Hulse is going to give teachers some more ideas about warm up games in PE.
The children have given suggestions for things to buy with our beat the street vouchers. They have also reviewed the anti-bullying poster and these have been put up in the classrooms.
The school council have helped to order some musical instruments, which have now arrived. The play equipment has also arrived and the school are enjoying playing with these.
Term 2 Update
This term we have reviewed the Child friendly anti-bullying poster. These have been put up around the school.
Term 3 Update
This term the school council reps have completed an anti-bullying questionnaire for Mrs Simpson, discussed the behaviour questionnaire recently filled out by all of the children in the school and we have also judged a poster competition set. These are posters to reflect the values of our school.
Term 4 Update
Our music trolley has arrived and we have filled it with instruments all ready to be easily wheeled into classrooms for music lessons.
